Cleaning Advises for Hand Washing & Machine Washing

Before washing, fully soak the product in water. Be sure to wash dark and light colored items separately, and do not use bleach. The maximum water temperature should not exceed 86°F(30°C). Ensure detergent is fully dissolved before placing items in the water. Please avoid leaving products overnight with stains or sweat, and do not wash with other materials.

Hand WashingHand Washing

To properly hand wash your silk garments, begin by pre-soaking them in water for 3–5 minutes. After soaking, rinse the items and prepare a basin of clean water mixed with a mild detergent, ensuring it is fully dissolved before placing the garments into the water. Gently press the fabric to help dissolve any stains—avoid rubbing to prevent damage.

Machine Washing

For machine washing, start by pre-soaking the silk in water for 3–5 minutes. Drain any excess water and turn the clothes inside out. Place them in a laundry bag (do not wash with other materials) and select the delicate or mildest cycle with the softest spin setting.

Dry Cleaning

Dry cleaning is highly recommended for silk clothing. Always choose a professional dry cleaner with experience in handling silk and natural fibers.

Drying

After washing, avoid twisting the garment. Instead, gently roll it up and press to remove excess water. Lay the item flat to dry in a shaded area, and do not use a tumble dryer.

Storing

Store silk clothing away from direct sunlight and avoid using ferrous (metal) hangers to prevent rust marks. Do not use mothballs; instead, consider placing dry flowers or a desiccant to maintain freshness and absorb moisture.

Hand Washing

Pre-soak bedding in clear water below 86°F(30°C) for 3-5 minutes. Replace with fresh water and add MANITO Delicate Fabric Laundry Detergent, allowing it to dissolve completely before immersing items. Gently press and squeeze fabric to remove stains—avoid rubbing or twisting.

Note: We recommend machine washing or dry cleaning larger sets, as indicated on the care label.

Machine Washing

Pre-soak bedding in clear water below 86°F(30°C) for 3-5 minutes. Gently squeeze out excess water, then place items inside out in the washing machine. Use a laundry bag for protection and avoid washing with other materials. Select the gentlest cycle such as Silk, Delicate or Hand Wash mode with the softest spin setting.

Dry Cleaning

For optimal care, professional dry cleaning is highly recommended. Be sure to choose professional dry cleaners who have experience with silk and natural fibers.

Air Drying

After washing, gently roll the bedding to remove excess water—avoid wringing or twisting. Lay it flat to dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Do not use a tumble dryer.

Ironing and Steaming

Iron while the fabric is still slightly damp, using a low-temperature setting under 248°F(120°C). Always iron on the reverse side with the steam function on, or use a garment steamer for smooth and safe results.

Storing

Keep in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Use dried flowers or desiccant instead of mothballs to maintain freshness and absorb moisture.

Silk Duvets

––––––––––––––– M –––––––––––––––
Silk-filled duvets are delicate and require special care. Please do not wash.

Air Drying

Place in a well-ventilated area and lay flat to air dry. Turn over periodically during the process, avoiding direct sunlight.

Retrieve before nightfall to prevent moisture from dew.

Keep away from extended heat and direct sun to prevent yellowing and weakening of the silks.

Storing

Ensure the item is fully air-dried (avoiding direct sunlight) before storage. Place in a clean, dry, and shaded area. Do not use vacuum storage bags, as compression may cause permanent loss of volume and loft. Avoid sealed or scented containers, which may trap moisture and lead to odor. Do not place heavy objects on top, and keep away from mothballs, chemicals, or sharp items.

Using

Air-dry the product (out of direct sunlight) before first use and after extended storage. Handle gently to protect the silk fibers and extend its lifespan. Keep pets away from the product to prevent damage. Fluff and air periodically to maintain loft and freshness.
